July 23, 2018 : The GAVS Dream Runners Half Marathon (DRHM) 2018 held in the city on Sunday saw more than 4,000 runners participating in the event.
The 7th edition of the half marathon was held with the theme ‘Run, so they can walk’ by Dream Runners.
The marathon was flagged off by the Mylapore MLA and former Director General of Police R. Nataraj.
This year, the half marathon had two categories, of 10 km and 21 km. A large number of family members with their children ran the half marathon.
The proceeds of the half marathon would be donated to the Freedom Trust for distributing prosthetic limbs for the economically challenged sections of society.
This year, MOHAN Foundation was part of the marathon to create awareness about organ donation.
