Job Description

1. GCP Infrastructure Design:

* Lead the design and architecture of cloud infrastructure solutions on GCP, focusing on VPC and its networking (Cloud Routers, Cloud NAT, VPC Peering VPN, GCP PSC, VPC Firewall rules), GCP Load balancers, Instance Groups, GCP VMs, Cloud SQL, IAM users groups service accounts, Cloud Storage, GCS Data transfer, GCP Cloud Armor etc

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and design systems that meet business objectives.

2. GKE Expertise:

* Implement and manage GKE clusters, ensuring the efficient deployment and scaling of containerized applications.

* Optimize GKE configurations for performance, availability, and cost-effectiveness.

3. Automation and CI/CD:

* Develop and maintain automation scripts and CI/CD pipelines to streamline application deployment and testing processes.

* Implement best practices for building and deploying containerized applications within GKE.

4. Monitoring and Scaling:

* Configure monitoring and alerting systems for real-time visibility into the health and performance of GKE clusters and applications.

* Automate scaling based on performance metrics to ensure optimal resource utilization.

5. Security and Compliance:

* Establish and enforce security best practices for GCP environments, including identity and access management, network security, and encryption.

* Ensure GKE clusters are compliant with industry standards and internal security policies.

6. High Availability and Disaster Recovery and Backup:

* Implement high-availability solutions for GCP Infrastructure services to minimize service downtime.

* Implement high-availability solutions for GKE clusters to minimize service downtime.

* Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.

* Develop and maintain the GCE backups using GCP native Snapshots, VM Image and Disk Image using Cloud Functions.

* GCP Certified
