                     Network Operations Center (NOC) Monitoring Job Description 

NOC Monitoring Analyst, Team will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the health, performance, and security of the organization's IT infrastructure. This role involves proactive monitoring, incident detection, and timely response to ensure the stability and reliability of network and system operations.

 Monitoring and Alerts 

Monitor network, server, and application performance using network monitoring tools.

Respond to alerts promptly, investigate issues, and escalate incidents to appropriate teams for resolution.

Incident Management

Manage and track incidents through to resolution, ensuring timely updates and communication to stakeholders.

Collaborate with support teams and vendors to address and resolve technical issues.

Performance Analysis

Analyse trends and patterns in system and network performance data to identify potential issues before they escalate.

Provide recommendations for improvements based on performance analysis.


Security Monitoring

Monitor security alerts and events and participate in incident response activities related to security incidents.

Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to implement and improve security monitoring measures.



Documentation

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of incidents, procedures, and configurations.

Contribute to the development and updating of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for monitoring and incident response.


Collaboration

Work closely with other IT teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration during incident resolution.

Participate in regular meetings to share insights, updates, and improvements related to NOC monitoring.



Qualifications & Skills


•Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field

•Proven experience in a NOC or similar monitoring role

•Familiarity with network protocols, server configurations, and IT infrastructure components

•Experience with network monitoring tools such as Nagios, SolarWinds, yotta, or similar

•Knowledge of incident management processes and best practices

•Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

•communication skills and the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.


Working Condition/Shifts 

•Role may involve rotating shifts and on-call responsibilities to provide 24/7 coverage.

•Ability to work in a shifts and  fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

•Periodic participation in training and professional development activities (If required)
