Rhodium

A Blockchain Based Data Management
Framework for Healthcare

Overview

Rhodium Framework works as an enabler for healthcare to move towards value-based care. It leverages the core tenets of blockchain as part of the framework. We firmly believe that blockchain with its core attributes such as single version of truth across stakeholders, maintenance of de-centralized ownership of smart contracts, and traceability of transactions throughout the value chain, will play a major role in healthcare transformation.

Key Use Cases

Master Patient Index

One of the key tasks for the effective exchange of patient data is to uniquely identify a patient’s identity from across multiple disparate systems across healthcare systems. Creating a unique ID for patients using traditional database techniques is prone to errors and can be easily duplicated in another system. A blockchain-based smart contract is an effective mechanism to provide a unique identity for each patient and the Rhodium framework facilitates that.

Patient Consent Management

A patient can no longer be treated as just a system of record and needs to be treated as a consumer as in other industries. In that context, getting the consent of patients for sharing their information and for performing other procedures is critical. The Rhodium framework utilizes Blockchain concepts like wallets to effectively track patient consent.

Practitioner Directory and Credentialing

Credentialing is the process of verifying practitioner qualifications to ensure they have the requisite skills to perform their duties efficiently. This involves verification of education, training, work experience, and licenses to perform services as part of their profession. Rhodium framework utilizes blockchain to provide complete information about the credentials of a practitioner.

Reducing FWA (Fraud, Wastage, Abuse)

The Rhodium framework enables a drastic reduction in FWA by providing a trusted blockchain network for sharing information between providers, payers, doctors, and patients.

Think the BigQuery Connector would be a great add-on
